Understand the message approval workflow, responsibilities, and status changes.
Before you start
- Approval separates editorial preparation from authorization to address, schedule, or send a message.
- Configured roles determine who may request, grant, reject, or revoke approval.
- Material changes after approval can require a new review.
Procedure
- Complete content, audience, personalization, tracking, and test checks.
- Submit the message with the information the approver needs to evaluate it.
- Review the rendered message, target context, schedule, sender, legal elements, and test evidence.
- Approve or reject with a traceable reason.
- After approval, schedule or release only through the authorized workflow.
Verify and operate
- Define which changes invalidate approval in the organization’s process.
- Separate approval from production execution for high-risk or high-volume messages where required.
- Do not use approval status as proof of legal compliance without the underlying review.
