Learn about automated imports, file-based controls, validation, and operational monitoring.
Before you start
- SIEIS supports controlled file-based imports for large, recurring, and asynchronous data exchange.
- File names and import types can define the intended operation and target context.
- Reports provide technical and record-level processing outcomes for monitoring and reconciliation.
Procedure
- Agree the directory, naming convention, format, encoding, key fields, import mode, and delivery schedule.
- Transfer files through the configured secure channel and publish them atomically.
- Validate processing status and parse the generated report.
- Retry only after classifying whether the file was not accepted, partially processed, or fully processed.
- Archive correlation data and reconcile source and Elaine counts.
Verify and operate
- Do not overwrite a file that may already be processing.
- Use unique names or run identifiers to make retries traceable.
- Alert on missing files, late files, rejects, unexpected volume, and prolonged processing.
Note
Exact UI labels, availability, and behavior can depend on the Elaine.io release, licensed capabilities, permissions, and project configuration.
