Elaine renders a personalized message and requests or receives a set of recommendation results from epoq. The message maps the returned products to a defined content component and delivers them as part of a campaign or automation.
System responsibilities
- epoq: Evaluate the configured behavioral and product context and return ranked recommendation results.
- Elaine: Supply the agreed context, place returned products in message content, apply communication eligibility, render fallbacks, and deliver the message.
Integration decisions
- Define the recipient, session, product, category, or transaction context sent to epoq.
- Map product identifiers and returned fields to the content available to the Elaine template.
- Set a maximum response time and a safe fallback when no recommendation is returned.
- Decide how unavailable products, changed prices, duplicates, and insufficient result counts are handled.
- Apply the required privacy, consent, and data-retention controls to the exchanged context.
