Understand the statuses shown for messages, campaigns, approvals, imports, and delivery processes.
Reference
- Created or on hold: The object exists but is not yet ready for execution.
- Ready: Required preparation is complete, but release or scheduled execution is still pending.
- Approved or not started: Authorization exists and the object waits for its start condition.
- Scheduled: Execution is approved for a future time.
- Pending or queued: Processing has been accepted and awaits or enters a worker queue.
- Processing or active: Current work or campaign execution is running.
- Paused or inactive: New or current processing is intentionally suspended according to object semantics.
- Sent or finished: The applicable processing step completed; downstream delivery or conversion can still change later metrics.
- Bounced, rejected, failed, or error: Processing or delivery did not complete successfully and requires classification.
- Closed: The campaign does not accept new starts and has reached its configured end state.
How to use this reference
- Identify whether the status belongs to a message, campaign, import, approval, queue item, or delivery attempt.
- Check the timestamp, preceding status, owner, and related error or report.
- Distinguish a technical queue state from final customer-channel delivery.
- Use the object-specific action and recovery procedure.
Important considerations
- The same word can have different operational consequences for different object types.
- Statuses and transitions can vary by release and enabled workflow.
- Do not retry an ambiguous state until duplicate impact has been assessed.
Note
Exact UI labels, availability, and behavior can depend on the Elaine.io release, licensed capabilities, permissions, and project configuration.
