Follow the main steps for creating, checking, activating, and evaluating a campaign in Elaine. Email is used as the most common example, but the workflow also applies to channels such as SMS, mobile push, and web push.
Before you start
- Define the campaign objective, desired channel, audience, communication eligibility, timing, and success metric.
- Access to the relevant tenant, contact data, channel configuration, and approved templates must already be available.
- Prepare representative test contacts, including profiles with missing data and relevant personalization variants.
Procedure
- Open Elaine.io and start the relevant campaign or message task from the Smart Workspace.
- Select the desired communication channel and choose a suitable approved template for that channel—for example, an email template or an SMS template.
- Create the content and complete the fields required by the selected channel, such as an email subject or SMS sender information.
- Select the contact group or audience and verify communication eligibility, exclusions, and required consent.
- Preview representative contact profiles, run the available tests, and resolve content, personalization, or channel-specific findings.
- Complete the configured approval process, schedule or activate the campaign, and monitor its results.
Verify and operate
Some settings and quality checks are channel-specific. For email, review sender and reply addresses, subject, preheader, links, unsubscribe path, text alternative, and rendering. For SMS, review sender configuration, encoding, message length, and links. Push channels can require an app configuration, title, payload, and deep link. Landing pages can require configured domains, forms, and data-processing behavior.
- Verify personalization, fallbacks, data integration, eligibility, and exclusions for representative contacts.
- Keep test contacts and production audiences clearly separated.
- After activation, review the delivery, interaction, conversion, and error metrics available for the selected channel.
Note
Exact UI labels, availability, and behavior can depend on the Elaine.io release, licensed capabilities, permissions, channel, and project configuration.
